UCLA Margo Leavin Graduate Art Studios

Culver City, CA

The fulfillment of a long-awaited dream of UCLA for a space befitting its distinguished arts program - rated first in the United States.

Located in the heart of the Hayden Tract district, this project revitalized an existing WWII era warehouse at its core, and surrounded it with an integrated new two-story, sky-lit structure with an open air courtyard and workspaces. This dynamic new facility houses an expansive art studio for every medium, as well as education spaces and a sophisticated gallery.

This LEED Gold project featured numerous concrete applications, including tilt-up panels, and was awarded the Grand Prize by the ACI Southern California, as well as other architectural awards. This project was completed under a CM at Risk Contract.
