Cinerama

Seattle, WA

Incorporating breakthrough technology while preserving the essence of the iconic Cinerama theatre-creating a one-of-a-kind movie experience.

This project was a renovation of a 1960’s era single-screen historic theatre. A new state-of-the-art Christie 6P laser projector with 3D and 2D capacity was installed making it the first commercial theatre in the US to showcase this technology. Meyer Sound equipment with a Dolby 3D audio system was installed. Additionally, acoustics were updated and legroom was increased by reducing the seat count from 798 to 570 with all new seats.
