New Encompass Facility Breaks Ground in Snoqualmie

Abbott Construction recently broke ground on the new Encompass pediatric therapy and early learning center in Snoqualmie, Washington. It is being built on the old “Honey Farm” site at the corner of 384th Ave. SE and SE Kimball Creek Dr.

Due to COVID-19 public health considerations, Encompass did not hold an official groundbreaking ceremony, but plans to celebrate the new building with the community later in the construction process when it is safe to do so.

Designed by Signal Architecture + Research, the 12,000 SF facility will allow Encompass to increase the number of children served by 30%, create space for 36 additional children to attend half-day preschool, double the capacity of Behavioral Health programs like Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and offer exciting new therapeutic programs. It is scheduled to be completed in May 2021 with the intent to be fully open for services in August 2021.

The project has been made possible after more than three years of gathering support and funds by private individuals in the community, charitable foundations, and by the hard work and support of elected officials.

“It has been a long road to get us to this point, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to begin to put our plans for Encompass Snoqualmie into action,” said Encompass Executive Director, Nela Cumming. “The generous support from our community has enabled us to build a facility that will help children thrive for generations to come.”

Encompass is a non-profit that partners with families to build healthy foundations for children, providing early learning, pediatric therapy, and family enrichment for children of all abilities in the Snoqualmie, Issaquah, and Eastside communities of Washington. With two locations in North Bend and one in Carnation, Encompass offers programs for children ages 0-8 and their families to help foster a community where ALL children thrive.
