Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center
Project Overview
This project was the 45,000 sf build-out of a state-of-the-art cancer treatment center. It features an array of services including radiology (3 linear accelerators, CT/PET Scan, CT Simulator, and Xray), two floors of healing & recovery space, infusion, exam rooms, retail pharmacy, laboratory, and doctors’ offices. Unique to the facility are its restorative spaces including yoga room, meditation room, spa-like facilities, reading library, and healing garden.
It also features an award-winning RFID controlled identification system, which automatically adjusts each treatment room to customized patient preferences for light, temperature, color, and music. The system also alerts nurses to each patient’s name and scheduled treatments when they enter the facility, allowing for a streamlined check-in process and a welcoming experience.
