In his role for Abbott Construction as Project Manager, Matt is responsible for providing lasting quality environments and great customer experiences through the effective management of each project. With over ten years of construction experience, Matt provides targeted pre-construction planning, budget development and management, schedule oversight, subcontractor selection and management, quality assurance, client relationship development, and creative problem-solving.
With a career that began in Florida and transitioned to the Pacific Northwest, Matt is familiar with building in different climates and soil conditions with an acute awareness for moisture intrusion. He has managed a variety of projects, including ground-up multi-story office buildings, an eight-story parking garage, central energy plant, and several occupied tenant improvements in healthcare facilities. Other sectors he has contributed to include higher education, public works and government, residential, and retail. In addition to a well-developed resume, Matt earned his bachelor's degree in Construction Management from the University of Florida and a certification in LEED AP Building Design and Construction.
With a specialization in healthcare, Matt has had the opportunity to serve clients such as MultiCare Health Systems, HealthPoint, Florida Hospital, Orlando Health as well as University of Florida, University of Central Florida, the Department of Juvenile Justice, and the Department of Management Services.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys venturing and exploring new destinations with his wife.
